Ogou Feray is a lwa from the Nago Nation, originating from Africa, in the Yoruba belief system. There are several Ogou, and like all the others, he is a warrior spirit, a spirit of courage and a protector.
The ancestors sought to place Feray by their side during the Haitian independence battles, which made him become the defender of every Haitian, man or woman, who calls upon him for help or even for vengeance.
He is a spirit of fire, a spirit who doesn’t play when it comes to iron or war. He fights for his servants down to the last drop of blood.
His symbol is a red rooster, and the thing known as “rum” is what he enjoys in his celebrations.
Printed as a museum-quality giclée on fine art paper using archival inks, ensuring rich depth, texture, and longevity, a timeless homage to one of Haiti’s most powerful loas.
