Manbo

As a photographer, I’ve always found it fascinating to observe a group of manbo, Vodou practitioners, or pilgrims gathered in one place, whether there are many of them or only a few.

It’s a scene that always makes my blood rush and gives me goosebumps, the whole thing. I imagine each person leaving home wearing everything they have to make themselves beautiful. Because the ceremony they are about to enter asks that no part of how they present their body and soul be neglected.

Anyway, I just wanted to leave this little gathering of people here.
